Michelle Obama shares major throw back

Image
U.S. former first lady Michelle Obama has shared a throwback picture of herself attending Princeton University. She also congratulated the graduating class of 2018. Read her post below… This is me at Princeton in the early 1980s. I know that being a first-generation college student can be scary, because it was scary for me. I was black and from a working-class neighborhood in Chicago, while Princeton’s student body was generally white and well-to-do. I’d never stood out in a crowd or a classroom because of the color of my skin before. But I found close friends and a mentor who gave me the confidence to be myself. Going to college is hard work, but every day I meet people whose lives have been profoundly changed by education, just as mine was. My advice to students is to be brave and stay with it. Congratulations to the Class of 2018! #ReachHigher

Ladies, would you leave your man here?

Brazilian footballer Ronaldinho set to marry both his girlfriends

Image
Brazilian footballer Ronaldinho is reportedly set to marry two women at the same time. The 38-year-old is allegedly living with 'fiancees' Priscilla Coelho and Beatriz Souza at his £5million Rio de Janeiro mansion, and are planning on taking the next step - with both of them - in August. Ronaldinho, whose full name is Ronaldo de Assis Moreira, will wed his two partners in a private ceremony in the mansion, Brazilian media reports. Bigamy is illegal in Brazil, and is punishable by up to six years in prison, however it is likely that a potential 'wedding' would simply be a ceremony with the two women and not registered as two official marriages. The former Barcelona star allegedly started dating Beatriz in 2016, but continued his relationship with Priscilla, which began several years earlier. According to reports, both lovers receive an 'allowance' of around £1,500 from the footballer to spend as they wish.

No time for honeymoons here!

The royal wedding seems like it was just yesterday, but it's already back to work for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. They attended their first engagement since becoming husband and wife!  The newlyweds stepped out at Buckingham Palace for a garden party hosted by Prince Charles as part of his 70th birthday celebrations, though the Prince of Wales' birthday is not until mid-November. In accordance with royal protocol, the new duchess sported pantyhose underneath her blush GOAT sleeved sheath dress with a sheer neckline (which has already begun to sell out on some sites). Markle paired the design with a bespoke slanted hat by Philip Treacy, a pair of Vanessa Tugendhaft rose shaped diamond earrings and a Wilbur & Gussie oyster silk clutch. The outfit was finished off with a pair of blush Tamara Mellon leather pumps and, of course, her new gold wedding band on her left hand. In the full ensemble, the star looked every bit her new royal part.

At least 45 people have been abducted by gunmen in the north-western state of Kaduna in less than 48 hours, reports from the area say. Victims of the latest abductions include women and children, according to road transport union officials in Kaduna State. They were seized as they travelled on a major highway linking northern Nigeria with the south on Tuesday and Wednesday. Residents say gunmen stopped vehicles and herded the occupants into the bush in Birnin Gwari area. There has been an upsurge in kidnappings for ransom in north-western Nigeria recently, with more than 80 people reportedly abducted in the region last week alone. Meanwhile, in neighbouring Zamfara State, police were hunting for the wife and six children of a local politician kidnapped early on Tuesday. Residents complain Nigerian authorities have not fulfilled their promise of deploying hundreds of soldiers to help them combat attacks by armed bandits.
